What usually goes
Devices that only work through their maker's cloud and refuse a local connection: some doorbells and cameras are built to keep you paying. Where a good local equivalent exists, we suggest it and price it plainly.
Anything whose subscription is the product. If the app stops when the fee stops, it is not really yours.
