Every one talks to the hub in your house. No maker's cloud, nothing a month.
What they do on the hub
Joined once. Then part of the house.Joinedonce. Thenpartofthehouse.
Live, with sound
Tap the front door on any phone, tablet or computer for the picture full screen, live, with sound.
Every caller saved
"A person at the front door", with the picture and the clip, in plain words in Events.
Recorded in your house
Around the clock or events only, on the hub's own drive. No cloud plan.
A light for whoever calls
After dark, the porch light can come on when the doorbell sees someone at the door.

Reolink
Works locally
Video Doorbell PoE and Video Doorbell Wi-Fi. Not the battery doorbell.
The PoE model takes power and picture down one network cable; the Wi-Fi model needs only power, from an old wired doorbell's wires or a small adapter. Either way it keeps its stream open all day, so the hub can record the doorstep around the clock, not only when someone presses.
The battery doorbell sleeps between callers, so it cannot record around the clock.
Hikvision
Works locally
DS-KV6113 video doorbells, PoE and Wi-Fi.
Hikvision's doorbell gives the hub the same standard stream as their cameras, so it sits on the grid beside them and records at home. A natural fit if the house already has Hikvision cameras.
On some firmware its sound runs a little behind the picture.
Ubiquiti UniFi
Works locally
G4 Doorbell and G4 Doorbell Pro, through a UniFi console in the house.
Already running UniFi Protect? The G4 Doorbell comes in through it, and every caller lands in Events next to whatever the drive and garden cameras saw at that moment.
Needs a UniFi console in the house.
What we leave out, and why
Battery doorbells, and doorbells that send their picture only to their maker's servers, for example Ring and Blink, cannot record to a hub in your house. We fit a doorbell that streams at home instead.
Can I have a video doorbell without a subscription?
Yes. Fit one that streams at home, such as a Reolink, and the hub records it to its own drive in your house. Every caller is saved with the picture and the clip, and there is nothing a month.
Will my Ring doorbell work with it?
No. Cloud-only doorbells, for example Ring, send their picture only to their maker's servers, so a hub in your house cannot see them. We fit a doorbell that streams at home instead.
Will my phone ring when someone presses the button?
The button rings the chime in the house, as a doorbell should. On your phone the doorbell works as a camera: everyone it sees at the door is saved with the picture and the clip, and with the alarm set to Away your phone is told, wherever you are.
Do I need a network cable to the front door?
Not always. The PoE doorbell needs one; the Wi-Fi model needs only power, from an old wired doorbell or a small adapter. We look at your door and tell you which suits it.
