£2.14 so far today. Watch the kettle.

An energy monitor on your meter, and plugs that measure what they power. The hub turns their readings into what the house uses now, today's cost and the last 7 days.

Energy2 brands that join with no cloud

Every one talks to the hub in your house. No maker's cloud, nothing a month.

What they do on the hub

Joined once. Then part of the house.

Now, today, this week

What the house is drawing this second, what today has cost so far, and the last 7 days side by side.

Your rates, not an average

Put in the unit rate and standing charge from your bill and every cost on the screen matches it.

What is using the most

Plugs that measure list what they power by what it draws, biggest first.

How clean the grid is

How much carbon each unit carries right now, so the washing machine can wait for the wind.

Brand by brand

The ones that join. No cloud needed.

Which models, and what each brand does once it has joined. Not sure about yours? Send us a photo and we will tell you straight.

Shelly

Works locally

Shelly EM and Pro EM-50 with clamps on the meter tails, and the Plus Plug UK for single appliances.

We clip a Shelly's current clamp around the cable from your meter, and the hub reads the whole house from it every few seconds. No smart meter and no supplier account needed.

The monitor itself is wired into the mains beside your consumer unit, so we fit it, not you.

SONOFF

Works locally

S60ZBTPG UK Zigbee smart plug.

Plug the tumble dryer into one and its watts and kilowatt-hours appear on the energy screen, ranked against everything else that measures.

What we leave out, and why

Smart meter readers and solar inverters vary: some answer at home, many only through their maker's portal. Send us the model and we will check it. With no sensor on the panels, the energy screen can estimate solar from the weather, and says so.

Questions

Energy, answered plainly.

Do I need a smart meter?

No. A clamp on the cable from your meter measures the whole house by itself, whatever meter you have.

Does the energy monitor need the internet?

No. The monitor talks to the hub in your house, so the figures keep coming with the internet down. Only the grid's carbon figures need the internet.

Can it use my own tariff?

Yes. Put in the unit rate and standing charge from your bill, for electricity and gas, and every cost on the screen matches it.

Tell us what you have. We tell you what joins.

A photo or a list on WhatsApp is enough. We check every model, say what joins and what we would fit instead, and give you a fixed price in writing.

We usually reply within two hours, 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
